Matthew Dalziel is a British/Canadian architect, maker and teacher. Born in Toronto, he trained as a carpenter and architectural technologist before relocating to London in 2003. He continued his training at London Metropolitan University where his work was nominated for the RIBA Bronze Medal and commended by the Architecture Foundation.

Matthew currently works with Haworth Tompkins Architects and runs a Design Unit in the Postgraduate School of Architecture at Kingston University. Alongside his work in practice, his background in carpentry has lead to several self-build projects ranging in scale from wooden games to furniture and small buildings. At the heart of this work is a belief in the physical act of making as a tool for engaging individuals and communities with the objects and environments that surround us.
